It's good, but...
By: Matt on 28 May 2024First I'll start with the positives - it's a great solid desk and looks good in my studio setup. Now the annoyances - firstly, mine only came with half the instructions, luckily the other half can be found on this page. Then I found out the hard way that there are 3 different types of brackets to connect the side sections. 2 look identical until you look closely, then you can see that one has been welded on a slight angle. I only noticed once I'd put the second shelf on that I'd used the straight bracket there instead of the angled one. So I had to pull the brackets off and swap them over (as well as taking the shelf off), which took about 20 minutes. Then another obvious annoyance, as the other reviewer mentioned, it doesn't come with rack hardware. For the amount of money you're spending on this desk, you'd think it would come with rack hardware. Anyway, I used some hardware from another Swamp rack, but the clips that the bolts go into wouldn't fit unless I turned them 90 degrees. Which became a problem when I tried to put one next to another one, it was near impossible to get one in without the other popping out. The last annoyance about the desk is that it doesn't come pre drilled, or even with indents for where the shelf screws should go. Which isn't a huge issue except that the shelves are so slippery that if you try and drill the screws straight in with the shelf in place, it moves straight away. So you have to mark the holes with a pen while the shelf is on, then take the shelf off to indent the board (or pre drill), then put it back on and drill the screw in. So while I think this is a great desk, it's a massive pain to put together, considering how much the desk costs. And yes, I am accustomed to building things, I just built my whole studio in my garage from the ground up, and I have a wife that loves to buy furniture from IKEA!

Best in Price Range
By: Anonymous on 14 October 2020Great desk looks great in the room and has improved my work flow. The only downsides are i had to file out some of the slots to fit the caged nuts (which are not included) and it was poorly packed causing some pretty heavy scratching on the bottom of the legs (luckily not easily visible) and one of the screw mounts to bend (easily bent back with hammer and a block of wood)
