This XLR(f) to RCA patch cable can be used to transfer a mono audio signal between devices with RCA and XLR sockets. Common uses include patching a single XLR output from an audio source such as a mixing console, directly to an RCA input socket. Often required when patching DJ mixers and turntable setups to other audio systems. As RCA inputs can only be mono/unbalanced, this cable converts balanced XLR signals to unbalanced by bridging pins 1 and 3.
