Drum hoops are used to secure and tighten a drum skin over its shell. This 14 inch hoop is designed for the batter side of a snare drum. Using a set of drum lugs, the hoop is pulled over the the skin to stretch it across the shell. Tightening the hoop further using the lugs will give a higher, tighter tone, allowing the drummer to tune as desired. High quality die cast steel, at 3.5mm thickness. The hoop features 10 holes.
