Good value for money and nice performance
By: Anonymous on 26 October 2023I have bought this subwoofer with two of the SWAMP HA-12 (Swamp codes MPN: HA-12 ID: 32916) - Compact Passive 12" PA Speaker - 250W RMS (limited supply of 210W RMS and 40Hz low cut) plus the subwoofer delivered 100dB (C weighted) continues at 5 meters (good for parties and loud enough to feel it) and no clipping or limiting with either system. The subwoofer response goes down to 34Hz at -3dB (29Hz at -10dB) but the amp also has a low cut from about 25Hz and a high cut to 150Hz (settable from 80 to 150) which I had set to the lowest of 80Hz with -3dB volume level. There were no added EQ settings, and the subwoofer setting was on "LIVE" for its EQ setting as the PowerWorks has stated that to be the flattest response setting. I have not done anymore testing for max SPL due to being in a residential area but at 100dB at 5 meters away is loud enough for having parties at home due to the risk of hearing damage. It has exceeded my expectations and would be a nice choice being paired with two SWAMP HA-12 (MPN: HA-12 ID: 32916) and an amplifier with 2x 8ohm outputs of at least 200W RMS. If there was a way to add pictures, I would add the response graph for the subwoofer. I hope this information helps others is making the right choice of system. Conditions of testing: Signal generation was done by a Soundking DM4 (Swamp codes MPN: SDK-DM4 ID: 245313), a PreSonus PRM1 Precision Reference Microphone was used outdoors in 18 degrees C, RH 47%, Wind less than 2knots with gusts of less than 5knots, the SWAMP HA-12 (Swamp codes MPN: HA-12 ID: 32916) were 4m apart and 1.8m off the ground and away from walls (2m), the subwoofer was on the ground but away from all walls (2m), the ground is made of pavers, the microphone was 1.7m off the ground and 5m away Infront of the subwoofer. Speaker placement is as followed: Full range speaker (bottom 1.8m from ground) 2m gap Subwoofer 2m gap Full range speaker (bottom 1.8m from ground). The total system cost (Mixer, Speakers, amplifier and cables) was about $2600 including shipping to Adelaide, South Australia (Does not include testing equipment).

Best value for the money
By: Tahmeed on 12 October 2021I was hesitant if I should buy the 15” or the 18” but in the end decided to bite the bullet and buy the 18”. There’s a huge difference in weight and size between the two and oh boy it is so worth it. Has three DSP modes. Live setting gives an emphasis of low low ground shaker bass and DJ setting gives a punchy kick with a bit of boost. Music setting is a good balance and that’s where I leave mine at. 10/10 would recommend this. Get yourself a set of castors before go pick it up and do yourself a favor.
