A MIDI cable is used to transfer MIDI signals between pieces of musical equipment and electronic instruments, typically keyboards and synthesizers. The MIDI standard is a very common digital communication protocol found everywhere in audio software and digital music devices. A MIDI cable features a 5-pin 180° DIN connectors at both ends and can be used on any MIDI send, receive or thru connector.
