The innovative Artist Vintage Hybrid Bass blends the traditional P-style Bass and J-style bass features and this is the fretless version. A versatile and easy to play instrument, it combines the best of both bass tonal worlds with the fretless playability.
Versatile and Innovative
The bass comes with a white gloss finished Ash body, black 3-ply scratch plate, matte finish natural Canadian Maple neck and headstock, 20 fret Eco-Rosewood fret-board with dot inlay's and a bone nut. It also has open-geared chrome tuners. With a newly designed active preamp circuit that delivers deeply exhilarating active and passive tones, our Artist Vintage Hybrid Bass can deliver both a classic vintage sound with a modernity that modern bassist's demand, passive P style and J style pickups with the added EQ control from the active preamp plus cut/boost bass and treble controls. There is also a separate battery chamber for easy battery replacement.

By: Colin Harris on 5 September 2024Purchased and delivered one day earlier than scheduled. Packaged well in guitar box. Came with 2 picks 6.5 to 6.5mm lead, Allen keys. Round wound strings. 9 v battery included. Fit and finish perfect. I first changed the strings to daddarrio flat wounds. Adjusted intonation- easy. Neck straight and action was perfect straight out of the box. Being picky, the switching between active and passive is a bit thumpy but you only want to go passive if the battery goes flat. My son has been playing bass for over a year and he has pretty much mastered it. Nice tone range, excellent value for money. Highly recommend the bass and dealing with Swamp! Thanks
