A Class A tube amplifier with a beautiful sweet spot, the Artist TweedTone12A 12 Watt Tube Guitar Amplifier features a 12" Celestion 70/80 speaker, a 12AX7 Preamp Tube, and a 6L6 Power Tube. Stunning breakup tones through the single-ended amp, great amp.

Single-Ended
This amp features Class A, “single-ended” amplification, meaning that the single output valve is conducting at all times, making for stunning breakup and the very natural, broad distortion that’s usually attributed to older, lower-wattage amps of decades past. This rich tube compression sounds beautiful when the amp is pushed harder, and the amp offers a range of tones from very simple controls.

Simple to Use
The easy Volume and Presence control allows you to dial in your desired treble and upper mids, along with a touch of hair from the preamp. The TweedTone12A also has a Normal/Bright switch, which boosts your upper frequencies and helps to brighten darker pickups. Artist have also included an “NFD” switch, which can be engaged to change the harmonic focus of the amp, and provides bell-like, chimey breakup at lower levels by limiting negative feedback. This makes the amp very responsive to your pick attack and guitar volume control, and allows you to go from a clean tone to soaring leads by rolling up your guitar volume, without using gain controls or a distortion channel. This is how the tube amps of the 50s and 60s were used, and the TweedTone12A encapsulates this “play-by-feel” approach perfectly!
