The Alctron MA-1 is ideal for ribbon and dynamic microphones alike. It made by cold-rolled plate metal, making it firm and durable. The four foam pads also make it stable. It is designed to provide +25dB gain to the microphone. it adopts the unique JEFT condenser amplifier design which ensures stable performance then it amplifies the input signal. It also ensures lowself-noise, sound loss and no overtones of the original signal, offering clean output signal.
Boost your Signal
The MA-1 is excellent to use when you have long cable runs, so to boost the signal at the source. Due to its low sensitivity (dynamic and passive ribbon mic), the sensitivity is around-55dB, this kind of mics we need more than 55dB mic amplifier. But with many sound cards or mixers, the pre-amplifier not only ensures enough gain range also stops low noise increasing when increasing mic gain. The high quality aluminium shell ensures product firm and long time using. Its net weight is only 175g, it is not only suitable for studio recording also suitable for outdoor performance.

A great little unit
By: Anonymous on 16 November 2024I used this for a karaoke gig last night, hooked up between my Soundcraft ui16 and a Shure SH55 copy mic. The retro stage presence of the mic and the sound it produced via the MA-1 were both hits and proved very popular. The small footprint of the MA-1 was perfect for me, easy to chuck into my mic bag and to set up and break down. Great value for money.

Amazing bang for buck
By: Anonymous on 18 August 2022Hooked this bad boy up between my Shure MV7X and a Focusrite Scarlet Solo and it's made quite the difference. The gain used to sit around 80% and now I'm on around 40% with a slightly bigger signal. For $40 this is great value. Sounds very clean too. Perfect for my little sound booth. Also, super quick delivery. I ordered it 2:44 pm Wednesday and it was in my hands 10:30am the next day. Be aware, you will need an XLR cable (it doesn't mount like a Triton Fethead) and whatever you plug it into will need to provide phantom power.
